The Samsung Highnote slider-style has a 2.1-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels and a 262K color depth. Below the display is a scroll wheel for easily using Sprint's new One Click navigation interface, and it's surrounded by a silver ring that provides keys for call send/end, soft navigation, and clear.

The Samsung Highnote has an internal 24 MB of user accessible memory, which can be expanded via optional MicroSD memory cards (up to 16 GB in size). The phonebook can store up to 600 contact entries, each one with room for up to six phone numbers, two email addresses, instant messaging (IM) address, URL, and notes.

The Samsung Highnote's digital audio player is compatible with MP3, AAC/AAC+, and WMA formats, and it includes a background music mode that allows you to play music while text messaging, playing games or surfing the Internet.

The 2-megapixel camera provides four resolution options and three quality settings. It also includes a 4x digital zoom, night shot mode for low-light situations, multi-shot and divided shot capabilities, brightness and white balance controls, spot metering, and multiple shutter sounds (with silent mode). You can also edit images on the phone (crop, rotate) and add one of 10 fun frames. The Samsung Highnote also captures video clips with sound in three resolutions, and you can shoot video for as long as you have available memory or cap it at 30 seconds for sending via messaging.

The Samsung Highnote weighs 3.5 ounces and measures 4 x 1.9 x 0.6 inches. It's 960 mAh lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 5.8 hours of talk time.
